This page explains what information Free YouTube to MP3 Converter collects, what it doesn't, and why. The short version is that we collect very little and store none of the videos or links you use.
Overview
Free YouTube to MP3 Converter is a free YouTube to MP3 and MP4 tool. You paste a link, pick a quality, and the file opens in a new browser tab straight from YouTube's video servers. There is no account to create and nothing to install.
Because the tool works this way, there is very little personal data involved. The sections below cover each piece of information that does pass through the site, what it is used for, and who else is involved.
What we do not collect
Some things simply aren't part of how the site works, so we never have them:
- No accounts: there is no sign-up, login, username or password.
- No files kept: we don't host, copy or store any audio or video files. Downloads come directly from YouTube's servers to your browser.
- No download history: we keep no record of which videos you looked up or which MP3 or MP4 qualities you picked.
- No payment details: the tool is free, so we never ask for card or bank information.
The video link you paste
When you paste a YouTube link and tap the button, the link is sent to look up that one video live. The tool uses it to fetch the title, length and the list of available qualities, then shows them to you.
The link is used once, for that request only. It is not saved, not added to a history, and not tied to you. The video details and download links are fetched fresh for each visitor and are never stored on our side.
Information collected automatically
Our site is hosted and protected by Cloudflare. Like almost every web host, Cloudflare records standard technical logs when a browser connects to the site.
These logs are used for security, such as blocking attacks and abusive traffic, and to keep the site running properly. We don't use them to build profiles of visitors or to track what you download.
- Your IP address
- Your browser and device type
- The date and time of the request
- The page that was requested
Google Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to see anonymous visit statistics, like how many people visit, which pages they open and roughly which countries they come from. This helps us understand whether the site is useful and what to improve. Google Analytics uses cookies, which are small text files saved in your browser.
These statistics are not used to identify you personally, and we don't combine them with any other information. You stay in control of cookies:
- Refuse cookies: change your browser settings to block cookies, either for all sites or just this one. The converter still works without them.
- Delete cookies: clear cookies at any time from your browser's privacy or history settings.
- Opt out of Google Analytics: install Google's official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, available for most desktop browsers.
- Use private browsing: cookies from a private or incognito window are removed when you close it.
Messages sent through the contact form
If you write to us through the Contact page, we receive the details you choose to enter, such as your name, your email address and your message.
We use that information only to read and answer your message. We don't add you to a mailing list, send newsletters, or share your message with anyone for marketing. Once a conversation is finished, there is no reason for us to keep it longer than needed.
Third-party services
A few outside services are involved in running the site. Each has its own privacy policy, which we encourage you to read:
- YouTube and Google: the video details and the files themselves come from YouTube's servers. When a file opens in your browser, your browser connects to YouTube directly. We are not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
- Cloudflare: provides hosting and security, and handles the technical logs described above.
- Google Analytics: provides the anonymous visit statistics described above.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information through the contact form, let us know through the Contact page and we will delete it.
Data security
The best protection is not holding data in the first place, which is why we don't store links, files or download history. The site is served over an encrypted connection, and Cloudflare helps filter out malicious traffic.
No website can promise perfect security, but we keep the information we handle to a minimum and limit access to it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. These usually include:
- Access: ask what information we hold about you.
- Correction: ask us to fix information that is wrong.
- Deletion: ask us to erase information about you, such as a message you sent.
- Objection: object to how we use your information, for example for analytics.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if the site changes, if we add or remove a service, or if the law requires it. The current version is always the one on this page. If a change is significant, we will make it clear here. Continuing to use the site after an update means the new version applies.
To use any of the rights above, send a request through the Contact page. Tell us what you want us to do, and we will reply as soon as we reasonably can. Since we keep so little, in most cases there will be nothing tied to you beyond a contact form message.
If you have any questions about this privacy policy or how your information is handled, reach out through our Contact page.
